Anne E. Joynt, Secretary, is a junior partner at Lipsitz & Ponterio, LLC. Ms. Joynt represents people who have suffered injuries as a result of exposure to asbestos, as well as those injured by childhood lead poisoning, motor vehicle accidents, construction accidents, medical malpractice and defective products. She is an experienced litigator and appellate attorney.

Ms. Joynt graduated magna cum laude from the State University of New York College at Geneseo with her Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish, and she received her Juris Doctor from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School. While at the University at Buffalo, Ms. Joynt served as co-editor of the Human Rights Law Review and was inducted into the Order of Barristers as a result of her moot court work.

Ms. Joynt is very active in the legal community. She is currently the President-Elect of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, Western New York Chapter. She served as a State Director for WBASNY WNY from 2012 until 2015, and before that, was a Local Director from 2009-2012. From 2015-2016, Ms. Joynt served as Corresponding Secretary for the state-level WBASNY Board of Directors. Ms. Joynt was elected to serve on the Bar Association of Erie County Board of Directors for the 2013-2016 term. She is also a member of the University at Buffalo Law School Alumni Association Board of Directors, where she served as a Director for three years, and is currently serving as a Vice President, and has chaired the Law School’s Annual Appeal. In addition, she is a Past President of the University at Buffalo Law School GOLD Group.

Ms. Joynt has been the recipient of a number of awards for her community involvement throughout Western New York. She was named by Business First of Buffalo as a 40 Under 40 honoree in 2014. She was designated as an Upstate New York Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016, and was a finalist for the Athena Young Professional Award in 2013. In October of 2014, Ms. Joynt was named a Women in Leadership Honoree by the National Association of Women Business Owners Buffalo-Niagara.
